We are, of course, talking antiques.
The Scottish Borders is a happy hunting ground for collectors – both casual and serious varieties.
And many make a regular date to visit the Kelso Antique Flea Market Fair.
Billed as the biggest indoor event in the Scottish Borders is takes place bi-monthly at Kelso’s Springwood Park and is an antiques and curios feast that attracts crowds of up to 1500.
The weekend event (the fair is held on Saturday and Sunday) is organised by local antiques expert Trevor Black (above at his own stand) who welcomes 80 plus dealers to the fairs.
Items of furniture, china, coins, medals, books, silver and gold are displayed across 160 tables and offer something for everyone.
“We have been going for five years now and intrest keeps going. Our dealers and visitors travel from all over Scotland and the north of England. There’s always a great variety of
items on offer and there’s something to suit all tastes and pockets.
“The facilities and parking are first class at Springwood so it’s a great day out for antiques fans,” said Trevor.
The next antiques fair take place on March 10 and 11.
